As a parent I am driven to do my best to ensure that all students needs are being met and as a Registered Professional Planner, I bring a experience in policy development, community engagement, and managing complex community projects.

Energy-Efficient Buildings & Retrofits

Support annual major capital requests in support of energy efficiency, seismic mitigation, and additional capacity or new facilities.

We face a significant capacity crunch at many of our schools. In addition, most of or schools require seismic mitigation. Further, the condition of our facilities is worse than the provincial average.

Urban Heat

I support retrofitting our buildings to increase energy efficiency and opportunities for partnerships regarding waste heat to energy.

Climate Change Mitigation and Adaptation

I support the implementation of the Environmental Stewardship and Sustainability Action Plan and measures to prepare for climate change.

Human Rights

Physical Accessibility

I support ensuring equal access for all. We need to retrofit some of our buildings for universal accessibility.

Recent Immigrants

I support immigration and would be sure to support new students from other countries into our system.

Trans Rights & Access to Services

All students have a right to feel safe and welcome at school and have the ability to have their unique learning needs met.

Greg is seeking re-election after completing his first term as a school board trustee. He has enjoyed serving the students and families of the Nanaimo Ladysmith Public schools. He is dedicated to student success and advocates for all students across the district.
