Charlene is a married mother of 2 students in the Nanaimo Ladysmith School District. Her ancestry through her father's family is from Ehattesaht/Chinehkint and Scotland, and through her mother's family England. She is proud of her family's ancestral ties and her identity.
In her spare time, Charlene spends a great deal of time outdoors exploring the various beaches along the Salish Sea with her family. You may often see her cheering on youth at various sporting events around the region as the mother of two young athletes.

Charlene is seeking re-election after a successful 4-year term as a school board trustee all of which she served as Chair of the Board. She is committed to serving students and families and building upon the successes accomplished since her election in 2018.
