Alana Vannahme is fighting for Kildonan-River East.
She has spent most of her life in and around North Kildonan. She’s been passionate about political engagement and good governance as long as she can remember. After graduating from the German program at River East Collegiate, she completed a Bachelor of Arts in Political Studies and a Master of Arts in International Relations at the University of Manitoba. She’s pursued work in the political realm ever since, beginning with her time as a constituency assistant to former MLA Bonnie Mitchelson. More recently, she was a senior policy analyst in the Mayor’s Office at the City of Winnipeg.
She met her husband Adrian while studying abroad and they settled in Berlin, Germany to start their family. But Winnipeg was home, and today they are proud to raise their four children in North Kildonan, where they are actively involved in a number of their children’s clubs and activities. When she has the chance, Alana loves to sit down with a good book.
Alana wants to make sure the province thrives for the next generation and is committed to advocating for a strong economy, safe communities and quality, responsive services.
