Biography

Mark Groleau is a business owner and minister who lives, works. and is raising a family in Saint Croix. As MLA, he will bring local solutions to our rural challenges: housing and affordability for renters and property owners, health centres, lower food costs, and public safety.

Mark and his family moved to New Brunswick in 2018 in search of vibrant and beautiful community - and found it in St. Stephen and southwestern New Brunswick. He started building his business in Saint Croix, serving as a licensed minister across the province, joining the St. Stephen and St. Andrews Chambers of Commerce, and officiating weddings for couples from St. Stephen to Moncton and anywhere in between. A provincial election was called weeks after Mark and his family arrived in New Brunswick; as a newcomer, Mark studied the parties and candidates from scratch. It was apparent that only one party took seriously the need to protect our stunning ecology, correct glaring economic gaps, renew our healthcare and education apparatus, and show appropriate respect to Indigenous and other marginalized persons.

That’s why Mark voted Green in 2018 and 2020. Sadly in 2024, these challenges persist. The choice remains clear: the Green Party is the only one suited to address climate change, housing and affordability, health and schools, and equality.

As a business owner, volunteer, author, minister, and team leader, Mark has a proven history of serving and solving. As a New Brunswicker and MLA candidate, Mark is excited to listen to neighbours and work on a team of solution-finders shaping a better future. As a board gamer, musician, hiker, chess lover, pickleballer, travel enthusiast, and motorcyclist, Mark loves the friends he and his family have made and the activities they find together all over this beautiful province.

Send Mark to Fredericton - so he can work for you, for housing, healthcare, affordability and public safety - and our common good.
