Sam Johnston is a proud husband, father, and grandfather. Sam’s family and community are his passions. Whether it is working hard on behalf of various causes in his community, or making people more confident as a master martial arts instructor, he is motivated to make a difference in the lives of others.

Sam holds two under-graduate degrees from the University of New Brunswick: a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Education where he won the “Norman S Frazer Prize in Education”.

Sam also earned a Masters degree in Education during which he received multiple graduate scholarships.

In terms of professional experience, Sam was an executive Director on the Atlantic Region manager team for Correctional Services of Canada and a Miramichi City Councillor.

Sam worked hard at learning French as his second language and twice achieved a bilingual linguistic profile with the federal government.

Sam Johnston’s presence in the legislative assembly will return Miramichi Bay-Neguac to prominence in a Liberal government and it is my honour to nominate “Sam Johnston as the candidate for the riding of Miramichi Bay Neguac in the upcoming provincial election.
