A Dedicated Community Advocate for Surrey-White Rock

Bryan Tepper has proudly called Surrey home for two decades, residing in Ocean Park with his wife Rona following a transfer to the Surrey Detachment of the RCMP. Immersing himself in the community, Bryan quickly realized he had found the greatest place to live in Canada.

Engaged Policing Career

Bryan has spent his career serving as an RCMP officer, with the last 10 years exclusively in South Surrey and White Rock. In his role, he intimately engaged with the community, understanding both its challenges and its unique greatness. From witnessing tragic events to sharing in the joy of community celebrations, his policing career deeply embedded him in the fabric of Surrey-Panorama.

Milestone Advocacy

As the treasurer of the Mounted Police Professional Association of Canada (MPPAC), Bryan played a crucial role in successfully taking the federal government to court, securing the right to associate for RCMP members. This landmark lawsuit paved the way for RCMP members to have representation, a significant achievement for the policing community.

Dedicated Community Involvement

Both Bryan and Rona are active volunteers in various community organizations, including the Ocean Park Community Association, Crescent Beach Property Owners Association, Crescent Beach Swim Club, Surrey Orcas Water Polo, and the Crescent Beach Yacht Club. Their love for the water extends to Rona, who serves as the station leader of the local marine search and rescue. Outside of the real world, Bryan volunteers at all three levels of government.

Priorities for Surrey-Panorama

Bryan's priorities include working towards repairing the medical system, starting with the recruitment of healthcare heroes and expanding training within the province. While acknowledging there's no quick fix, he emphasizes the need to take steps to reverse the damage done to the healthcare system. Additionally, Bryan envisions the development of our natural resources as the most sustainable, cleanest, and most ethical in the world. The revenue generated from such development, without roadblocks, would significantly contribute to the future of healthcare in the region.
