Loyal Wooldridge: a values-driven leader, dedicated to fostering community, entrepreneurship, and social equity. A two term Kelowna City Councillor, Entrepreneur, and Community Advocate, Loyal fuses a social heart with a business mind – so no one is left behind. 

He grew up in Central Okanagan when his family was transferred with the RCMP. Loyal has seen the evolution of this amazing valley. Kelowna has blossomed into a place full of opportunity: from aviation, tech, viticulture, and world class educational institutions. 

In 2018 he was elected to Kelowna City Council Loyal believing in the power of community, building equity, and amplifying underrepresented voices. Founder of Loyal Hair, at the age of 21, he built an organization with the main pillar that giving back is essential for collective prosperity and success. His principle is that "giving goes full circle."

Loyal's commitment to community extends beyond his entrepreneurial endeavours. He has led two boards: the Regional District of Central Okanagan and Okanagan Regional Library working to modernize policy development, foster relationships with Indigenous peoples and respond to emerging challenges. His passion is to address social challenges like homelessness, mental health addictions, and housing, while focusing on economic resiliency in the entrepreneur capital of Canada.

A skilled communicator and negotiator, Loyal has played pivotal roles in crisis management, including leading communications during the Grouse Complex Fires in 2023. His efforts not only bolstered public confidence but also secured vital disaster relief funding for the Central Okanagan.

Outside of his official duties, Loyal is deeply engaged in volunteer work, exemplifying his dedication to community service. He established a memorial foundation in honor of his late mother, funding various community organizations supporting youth programs, healthcare, and housing for vulnerable populations. Through his involvement with organizations like the YMCA, BCSPCA, and KGH Foundation, he strives to shed light on important initiatives.

Loyal's contributions have been widely recognized, earning him accolades such as the 2015 & 2024 Kelowna Chamber of Commerce's 'Top 40 Under 40' and the People's Choice for Favorite Elected Official in Kelowna Now's 'Best of Kelowna’ numerous years in a row. Additionally, his 'I AM ME' Anti-bullying campaign garnered a BC Broadcasters Award, highlighting his commitment to social advocacy.
