Raised in the United Kingdom, I was shaped by values of hard work, compassion, and a dedication to making a difference. After earning a degree in Information Technology, I embarked on a transformative volunteer journey, including a year in India, which expanded my perspectives and deepened my appreciation for diversity and inclusion.

Before moving to Canada, I worked as a University Professor teaching IT and business. In 2000, my family and I settled in Abbotsford, seeking new opportunities and a brighter future for our family.

I have served as an officer with the BC Federation of Labour and as President of MoveUP, a union representing 14,000 workers, including workers at ICBC, BC Hydro, Fortis and BC Transit.

Currently, I am actively involved in the community as President of the Fraser Valley Labour Council and I am also on the Regional Council of the United Way.

Most people in Abbotsford know me through Church or as a soccer referee, something which I have done for nearly twenty years, both officiating youth and more commonly adult soccer games. Soccer in Abbotsford is more than just a sport it is the opportunity for the community to come together and where everyone is included.

It is my privilege to be running in this upcoming election for the BC NDP whose social values align with my own person beliefs.
