Marisa Pelkey is the Liberal candidate for Woodstock-Hartland, representing a deep-rooted commitment to her hometown and its surrounding communities. Born and raised in Woodstock, Marisa has dedicated her career to public service and community advocacy. After studying psychology at Acadia University, and obtaining her Master’s degree in Counselling from UNB, she returned to Woodstock to work in the public sector, focusing on supporting victims of crime in the Criminal Justice System. Her 25 years of experience in public service, along with her extensive community involvement, including roles with Woodstock Childcare and Woodstock Minor Hockey, have uniquely prepared her to serve as an MLA.

Marisa’s dedication to her community stems from her upbringing by parents who emphasized civic duty and volunteerism. Her personal values of integrity, service, and advocacy drive her passion for addressing pressing issues like healthcare access, education system challenges, and rising living costs. Marisa believes in the power of teamwork and the importance of listening to, and learning from, one another to create a better New Brunswick. She is excited to bring her experience and commitment to the role of MLA, advocating for positive change and compassionate representation for her constituents.
