Ramona’s diverse background includes work at the Chamber of Commerce, Board of Trade, Canadian Association of Retired Persons (CARP), and international positions. As part of the Surrey Connect slate, she will turn her advocacy and consensus building skills to the team’s work on livability. A consummate volunteer, she achieved degrees in Journalism at TMU (formerly Ryerson), Education and Political Science at the UofT.

Ramona will advocate for:

  • Seniors’ services, housing, and transportation
  • Ethical city governance
  • Public safety
  • Economic development

I believe you have to be the change you want to see. As an advocate in my community, I receive calls daily from people requesting help. I do my best to steer them in the right direction. As a councillor, with Brenda Locke as mayor, I will be able to make changes taxpayers seek.

More community programs, better transportation, pools, housing and safety are priorities for me. Received Outstanding Canadian on the Peninsula 2022 Award. You can trust me to get things done.
