Piers is a proud product of SD61 and would like to help it continue to be a strong school system that fosters children, his own and all others, to be curious and adaptive to the world around them.

A lifelong nerd, Piers pursued a computer science education and has taken on a career path of leadership roles in the software industry. There he uses data-driven decision making and continuous improvement towards operational excellence.

He is less interested in rhetorical and ideological talking points or bureaucracy of politics and instead prefers to focus on planning and outcomes.

An optimist, Piers knows that everyone involved from parents, to educators and administrators have children’s best interests at heart and if given the right tools and resources will move mountains to give children the best learning experience possible.
